Marie Baillie Photography
I completed the Photography course at Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in 2013. Since then, my exposure has been far and wide. I currently photograph weddings, social events, real estate for local magazines and voluntary work for charitable organizations. I am also an executive member of the Jamaica Photography Society.
My photos can be seen at the ‘Things Jamaican’ craft stores at Devon House, Norman Manley International Airport and the Jamaica Business Development Corporation, Camp Road.
I am presently focused on our rich Jamaican culture heritage, and by travelling all around I capture scenes of our beautiful island. In other words, I BRING THE OUTDOORS IN.
I have participated in Exhibitions held by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission and have been awarded three (3) merit awards over the years. I have also taken part in Cultural Expositions.
My philosophy is – It is important to pursue your passion in life, as this profound love and expression refurbishes your soul.
My journey continues as an ever learning process as each time I look through my lens, I strive to capture scenes that will have a lingering and haunting effect on others.
